4 Nights and 5 days: itinerary
Day 01: Paro to Thimphu (65 km-1 hrs drive).
< pick up from Paro airport and transfer to Thimphu (Alt.2400m/7875ft). check in at the hotel. After lunch proceed for sightseeing which includes Buddha Point (kuensel Phodrang). in the evening you can explore the city by walk or visit Tashichhoe Dzong, presently the throne room and office of the king, the secretariat and the ministries of home affairs and finance. you can explore only the outer view of Tashichhoe Dzong or can visit Monk Bodys block between 5:30-6.00 pm (timing may change). Day 02: Thimphu to Punakha/Wangdue via Dochula pass (70 km / 2.30 hrs). > after breakfast, drive to Punakha/Wangdue, with a stop rote at Dochula pass (3,100 meters), where on a clear day you can get spectacular views of the highest mountains of Bhutan. after a photo break, drive to warm valley of Punakha. visit Punakha Dzong built at the confluence of the Po and Mo Chu Rivers in the 17th Century by Zhabdrung Ngawang Namgyel and served as capital of Bhutan until 1995. after visiting Punakha Dzong, short hike towards Chhimi Lhakang. dinner and overnight stay at hotel.
Day 3. Punakha to Paro (160 km/ 4 hrs )
> After breakfast, drive towards Paro. After lunch proceed for sightseeing which includes Ta Dzong (National Museum), open throughout the week expect government holidays( Timing: from 9.00 am to 4.00 pm ), the first of kind which has a collection from natural history to religious painting and than walk down the trail to visit Rinpung Dzong (also known as Paro Dzong) which has the long and fascinating history. later visit Kichu Lhakhang, one of the oldest and most sacred shrines of the Kingdom.Evening stroll at Paro town and peep into some local handicrafts stores. Return at hotel. overnight stay at Paro.
Day 4. Paro sightseeing.
> After breakfast visit to Taktsang Monastery also known as “Tiger’s Nest”. overnight stay will be at Paro.
Day 5. Drop to Paro International Airport.
> After breakfast drop to Paro airport – Tour Ends.
